Emperor - Rehearsal Track 1994
Emperor - Instrumental Rehearsal Track 1994 with Hellhammer
1) Moon Over Kara-Shehr
Mediafire
I believe you guys know both Emperor and Hellhammer (the drummer guy) quite well. This one is a just one track instrumental rehearsal bit with (unknown) Emperor staff rehearsing with Hellhammer on drums. As you might guess the sound is not hifi shit. However the track in question is great, one of my faves from the demo and sounds good to me. I don't really have anything to add here. You know if you want this or not, I can't remember it being published officially, most likely on some bootleg.

All Emperor is well received!
@GDD:
Hope you enjoyed the track!
This reh.track (in better quality, soundwise) was also featured on the '96 Necropolis Records-CD "Nordic Metal - A tribute to Euronymous", checked it some minutes ago. If you don't have it, go for it, Velkaarn - it's worth! Lots of good stuff on that disc.
I really love this rehearsal-version, I sometimes imagine how an album would have sounded with Hellhammer on drums and EMPEROR having continued with the "In the nightside eclipse"-direction instead of the "Anthems..."-one. They definitely lost something at this point. Good ol' times...
@TD:
Thanks for your comment, good to see you! Isn't it a bit different, I think it had vocals too while this is instrumental? Could be that my memory is playing a trick on me, though! Yeah I agree it would have been an awesome scenario, I could have settled with an EP if not an album...
Arrrhh... you're right! The "Nordic Metal"-verion indeed has vocals, seems I was too fixated on comparing the music only. But it definitely is the same recording (notice the drum fills and the guitar feedback at the first synth-break), which brings me to the conclusion that the vocals were specially added later for the compilation-version! I think it's the same case here as with the Darkthrone-rehearsal which was released with vocals as "Goatlord" later, I have some tracks of that without vox (thought the last one cuts). But fuck, this is just pointless vivisectioning, in the end it's great music!! Thanx for sharing this track here!!!
